Greetings,

The Weld County Board of County Commissioners have passes comprehensive toll road regulation requiring private toll road companies to adhere to strict requirements in the development of a private toll road in Weld County.
These regulations will make building a private toll road through Weld County extremely difficult as it requires all county maintained or planned roads to be kept open, i.e. there will have to be a bridge or underpass at every county road; it also requires all irrigations ditches to be unobstructed and left operational, gas/oil wells to be moved at the toll road companies expense, plus cover all loss of production in the process, agricultural ground cannot be taken out of production, including beef and dairy operations, just to list a few of the requirements.

Please take a moment to thank the county commissioners for the hard work, time and effort they put into these regulations, they are working to protect the property rights of the people of Weld County as well as looking out for the farmer and rancher who make Weld County the productive farming community it is.

To my Adams Cnty people, we will be approaching the Adams Cnty BOCC asking them to implement 1041’s for private toll roads, with the same protections as Weld’s. Please consider calling or emailing your commissioner asking him to consider enacting the same 1041’s as Weld County.

Peace,
Sharon
