HB1343 has been partially rewritten and will be heard in the House Transportation and Energy Committee today at the close of session.

Existing corridors are voided in this bill.
Rather than form a ppi (public private initiative) with the state, a private toll road company will submit, what is essentially an unsolicited bid, which will be evaluated by the executive director of cdot for preliminary approval of the location of the corridor.
While this bill will is a better solution to the title exception issue than the one offered in HB1007, I am not convinced it solves perpetuity if preliminary approval is granted by cdot.
Only time will tell if this solution is the right one for corridor residents, who are trying to sell their properties and cannot even get prospective buyers through their doors to even look, without deeply discounting the asking price of the property.

I know the bill will be heard today, before most of you read this email, but if passed the bill must move forward to the full house and if passed on to the senate, so there will be ample time to express your support of concerns.
